"Prevent auto-run on all CD Drives" fails first time

I've been using dbpoweramp CD Ripper for a few weeks now, and like it very much. I'm learning more and more as I use it. One thing I've found that doesn't seem to work 100% correctly is the "Prevent auto-run on all CD Drives" option.

I have this option checked, but the first time I run dbpoweramp CD Ripper after booting the machine, and insert a CD, I still get the Windows auto-run prompt. Loading subsequent CDs, I do not get this prompt, even if I exit dbpoweramp and run it agian. It only returns after rebooting the machine.

I am running Windows Vista Home Premium x64 SP2.

So, I guess this doesn't happen to anybody else? Or, it does, but you just ignore it?

I have not seen it reported before, could be x64 related.

Has this ever been checked? The same thing still happens with the latest release.

There are other ways to prevent autorun.

            I use gpedit.msc myself.
