dbpoweramp stops working and halts my PC

Every couple of CDs or so dbpoweramp stops working and won't close down via x or task manager. From what I have seen the app stops at a percentage into encode. I have turned of lead in/out but this didn't help. If I reboot my PC and rip those tracks again it stops in a different place.

Any ideas as to what can be happening?

Also I saw some debug check box but can't find it now. Will this help? If so where is it?

PC CPU and processes do not show bottlekneck or overload.

The debug checkbox is in dBpoweramp Music Converter on the last tab, but it probably won't help, as a crash means no debug log.

Version of Windows and dMC? Laptop or Desktop?

Turns out it was an issue with my usb drive losing connection during rips. I'm ripping to PC now then moving to external drive. -Seems to work that way.


WOw! what a difference between FLAC and mp3!!!! And that's without my new DS! :-)
