    HDCD Identification

Not sure if this is the correct forum. I'm using batch ripping and have ripped hundreds of cds recently.

I turned on HDCD ripping to rip HDCD as higher bitrate flac files.

I then figured out that my player (Sonos) does not support this and these files do not play.

Is there a way, after the fact, to identify files (flac) that are ripped to HDCD, other than manually playing each one? Maybe a characteristic to look for in the meta data or something?

    Thanks, Pete

The Bit size which will be 24, you can use Batch Converter, select all files >> List then sort on the 'Bits' or Bit Depth column (you might have to switch it on).

      Thanks. Didn't think of this.

Looked at bitrate in mp3tag, but it wasn't clear.
