    Lame installation location

I purchased dMC 2 years ago, and my computer crashed so i'm doing a full reinstall. I came back and found the newest version 12.3. Thanks!!

Anyway, I installed my registered version of dMC 11 and then installed the newest 12.3 over it without untinstalling and that seemed to work fine.

    Two questions:

I seem to see multiple locations of the mp3/lame encoder:

    illustrate\dbpoweramp\compression\lame\lame_enc.dl l
    illustrate\dbpoweramp\decoder\mp3.dll
    illustrate\dbpoweramp\encoder\mp3 (lame).dll

Question 1: If I ever want to update Lame to a newer version, which of these do i replace (I'm using 3.97 right now, but they are working on a newer version)

Question 2: The compression folder seems to be left over from version11. Is it superflous and can that folder be deleted?

Thanks for a great product and for you help.

    Re: Lame installation location

    R12 uses \encoder and \decoder

You cannot replace the mp3 (Lame).dll as it contians lame, to use a different version of lame see the CLI Encoder and Lame.exe

      Re: Lame installation location

If you look at your second location of LAME, that is the decoder .dll, NOT an encoder.
