    Where Do Plug-ins Go?

I was trying to install the musepack codec and kept getting an error that there was a problem with the config.exe. It turned out I had R11.5 so I now have R12. But I still got the error. (BTW when I try to install this, the installer keeps adding something to the end of the path... very weird!)

Since there is no default installation path in the installer... I've had to try and guess where to put it... but the directory structure of R12 is too complicated...
    C:\Program Files\Illustrate\dBpowerAMP\decoder\decoder\decode r ????

So what is the correct path for installation of codecs? It seems that any new codec I try to install just remembers the last wrong one. Clearing temp internet files doesn't help.

    Thanks!!!!!

It sounds like your installation is corrupt. The path should just be "C:\Program Files\Illustrate\dBpoweramp\"

Do a total uninstall described here: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=6828

Have to comment on this post. This path doesn't work
C:\Program Files\Illustrate\dBpoweramp\decoder since the installer creates another decoder folder leading to
      C:\Program Files\Illustrate\dBpoweramp\decoder\decoder

The path for codecs that worked for me was
      C:\Program Files\Illustrate\dBpoweramp
