No tag info from All Media Guide

I’ve just upgraded from v 11.5 to 12 reference ver with the new All Media Guide service included. But I can’t get any tag info or album arts from AMG.

I’ve tried with a number off CD. No tag information from AMG. Freedb work fine. What do I do wrong??

    Thanks for all help

There was a report of an internet security suite (forget name) which would stop the AMG from working.

      Thanks for your reply Spoon

I am having problem too but I do get info with firewall turned off. I am using Kaspersky Internet Security. CDGrab.exe is in my allow list. Is there anything else that I should be allowing?

Kaspersky is known to not allow dMC to get meta-data. I think you have to disable and exit it to get results.

I have a solution! If it is indeed Kaspersky the OP is using. Go into Settings, Trusted Zone, Trusted Applications and then add. Browse to C:\Program Files\Illustrate\dBpoweramp\CDGrab.exe (assuming normal install path) or select from "Applications list" and then select "Do not scan network traffic". Ok everything and hopefully all will be well. Let us know!

Thanks! That solved the problem. Before I just disabled protection Kaspersky but it was only when I shut down the program completely that I realized that you were right.

                Thanks again!

Re: No tag info from All Media Guide

Please if you could run this test - set Kaspersky back so AMG does not work.

                  Close all dbpoweramp programs.
Open dbpoweramp configuration, on Music Converter tab enable 'music converter debug'.

Open CD Ripper and allow it to try to fetch AMG data (meta menu retrive from >> AMG), close CD Ripper and post the results of the debug log file here please.
