ID Tag Problem with Track Numbers - Creative Zen

Just starting using DMC to rip tracks from CD to VBR-256k MP3s with LAME that comes with it trial download. Sounds great. However, when I transfer tracks to my portable (zen micro, non-video verison), the track numbers are all zero and it just sorts them alphabetically. I can see the track numbers in the tags and in all other programs on my PC (yahoo music player, windows media, etc). Anyone else have this problem or know how to fix it? It is pretty annoying and if I can't fix this, I assume I won't be buying the software.

    Thanks,
    Joe

What program are you using to transfer the songs to your player? What is your setting in dbpoweramp Configuration (Start --> Programs --> dbpoweramp Music Converter --> Configuration --> dbpoweramp Configuration) on the Codecs tab under Advanced for mp3 tagging?

Under 'dMC Configuration", and then on the "ID Tag Options" tab it says:

      Tag Creation - ID3v2
      Write ID3v1 Version - v1.1
      ID3v1 UTF8 Read - Yes
      ID3v1 UTF8 Write - No
      Write ID3v2 Unicode - No
      Write ID3v2 Version - v2.3

I am using Yahoo Music Engine (or what ever they call it these days - Jukebox?), and a Creative Zen Micro. Never had any problem with tags or track numbers in files created in Yahoo or downloaded from legitmate sources.

      Thanks,
      Joe

Try setting Tag Creation to "ID3v2 & ID3v1".

Tried that and still get the same problem. I did try using Window Media Player to transfer tracks to the Creative Zen Micro and all is well. So, I assume there is something wrong with tracks made in db that are passed to the Zen from Yahoo Music.

Well, I guess I'll just switch to using Windows Media Player. Now, if it would stop crashing on me. Any idea how to fix that problem?

          Thanks again,
          Joe
