    Best bitrate for AAC

    What's the best bitrate for AAC? I want its sounds like mp3 128 kbps.
    I'm using CBR 96 Kbps now ,is that almost CD-quality?What''s the diffrence between : ''Quality'' , CBR , and ABR? :cry: :smile2:

    CD quality is said to be about 128kbps for mp3, but most people would say that most format at 160kbps or above are CD quality. If you want to make sure, go to 192kbps.

          Quality is VBR. The recommended default setting set out by Nero is .5 which should get you a VBR file ~160kbps or somewhere in that region. This should produce an LC compatible file (Low Complexity) which will work on any AAC compatible hardware (such as iPods).

          Try this .5 setting, and see how it fairs. Asking people for bitrate recommendations is not usually a good plan, you should test with your own ears and not other peoples.
