Convering problems

Can anyone help me? I have just downloaded a book (.aa format) from Audible.com and want to convert it to mp3 to put it on my Creative Zen mp3 player, but I keep running into problems. I have downloaded dbAMP Music converter but it keeps saying that the CODEC I need to decompress .aa files has not been installed OR Audio file is corrupt. How do i figure out if the file is corrupt or if I am doing something wrong?

More specifically, installing the DirectShow Decoder, putting ".aa" into the config file, installing AudibleManager 4, the Audible WMP Filter?
