      taking forever to rip under Windows 8

      I'm ripping CDs to FLAC files (fastest setting) under Windows 8 on my brand new super fast PC (i7 4770, 4 ghz) but DBAudioConverter is taking FOREVER.

      It hangs on either the 2nd pass or re-rip on the last 3 or 4 tracks.

      Is this a known problem or do I not have things...

            DBPowerAmp and Windows 8

            Since upgrading to Windows 8, DPPowerAmp can take an age to finalise ripping each track (sitting on 99% for over 5 minutes), and then when it is over I find that the track size is less than 1Kb. ie it failed. Sometimes I get error message but not always. The latest one talked about meta data missing....

              I am trying to use a Registered Copy of Music Converter 14.3 with Windows 8

              It was updated from Version 14.2

              For a while windows 8 allowed me to use multiple cores/processors but now it has stopped.

              Any suggestions?

                Windows 8 Enterprise x64 & dBpoweramp & BSOD

                I'm running Windows 8 Enterprise x64 and I have tried both R14.3 and R14.4 with the same results, a BSOD whenever I run dBpoweramp CD Ripper. Configuration & Batch Ripper open fine (I have not tried ripping yet). Thoughts?
