dmc r16.6 reference trial and secure

I searched through the forums and saw some similar threads but none of the solutions seem to work.

I downloaded dmc r16.6 reference trial today, and attempted to rip a cd, the whole reason for choosing dmc was for the secure options, all of which were greyed out with the trial version....

    "Accurate" vs. "Secure" etc.

So, I'm currently re-ripping my 1,500+ CD collection as AIFF. 99% of my CDs going back almost 20 years are absolutely mint/pristine, being that I ripped them as MP3 in iTunes once then immediately put them back in their jewel case and into boxes in storage. No scratches, finger prints, dust etc. ...

burst or secure? re-ripping 20.000 tracks?

I haven’t been aware the difference between burst and secure rips. I have just changed the mode to secure.

My question is what do I do with the more than 20.000 tracks ripped in burst mode? Shall I re-rip it all or doesn’t it matter if there are tracks having a rip status saying ‘inaccurate’?...

Should I feel safe about this rip?

Not sure if I should just move on, re-rip or stop here? First time I get such a situation. Is either all accurate or all safe, not mixed.

  • Need help to set up the best ID-Tag and folder structure for Batch ripping

    Hi.

I'm new here at this forum, and have used some time to read a bit around in here.

    I have set up a PC with 8Gb RAM, 6-core AMD CPU and 4 S-ATA DVD reader/writer (Lite-On) in a small tower.
Already tested a bit, and the speed now is not so bad.
    Will use...

    Really confused with conflicting rips

I'm new to this so apologies in advance if there is a thread that already exists for this.

I'm trying to rip a CD and am currently in my second attempt.

The first attempt, 11 out of the 12 tracks were ripped with 'Secure' (and X AR was greyed out). The 12 and final track...

How much does secure ripping stress CD-drives?

Awkwardly framed question, I know. But I put it like this because secure ripping has brought two CD-drives to a standstill recently, and I'm wondering if there are any drives out there that can stand the strain of prolonged secure ripping (that is, ripping of home-burned CDs in the hundreds).

    Secure vs. Accurate CRC red

    Hi all,

I just ripped a CD in secure mode and got no errors.

I then enabled AccurateRip, and re-ripped the CD (without cleaning it or anything), and once again got no errors--Accurate (4). But, all of the CRC's were red.

    Does enabling AccurateRip somehow...

  • Inaccurate (confidence 24) Secure (Warning). Reason to worry?

    Hi,

Can someone elaborate some of the AccurateRip and Secure Rip reports? Below is a part of a log file. Notice underlined and bold parts.

    Code:
    Track 7: Ripped LBA 124567 to 141305 (3:43) in 0:33. Filename: E:\FLAC rips\Who, The\1971 - Who's Next\07. Going Mobile.flac
