    ReplayGain - iTunes Normalisation settings?

As I am an Apple household, I rip to ALAC. I have a question relating to iTunes handling of Replaygain.

With ReplayGain tags you can tick both Track 'AND' Album. But with iTunes Normalisation it is either Track 'OR' Album.

Why the difference? What is the general consensus?...

  • Want to confirm: applying RG to existing MP3 files doesn't convert the file again?

I'm sorry if I'm not explaining it correctly. Essentially, I want to use the Replaygain utility to add replaygain values to existing MP3 files, but I don't want it to convert the file again and make it more lossy than before. Does the utility simply analyze the file for the correct value and add it...

    PLEX Media Server & Normalization

    Hi all!
I've been using the dBpoweramp suite for years now and just bumped into a scenario that I just can't get to work.

I currently use PLEX MEDIA SERVER to stream my music to my iPhone and to my Amazon Echo devices. Now, it's a real PITA to keep juggling the volume controls...

  • ReplayGain LUFS Target Volume in CD Ripper, is not the same as in Batch Converter

In the ReplayGain Advanced dialog box of dBpoweramp Batch Converter (Windows R17.1), I set the EBU R128 LUFS Target Volume to -23. After that, when using the batch converter, adding ReplayGain tags to audio files works as expected.

But when I rip a music CD, the added ReplayGain...

DSD to Flac and Album Normalization

    Hi -

I have about 115 DSD albums I want to convert to 44/16 flac, and normalize each album to 0db.

The first part is easy, the second part I'm having trouble.

I could just add 6db to each album, but this causes clipping or some albums are too low.

    Hello Spoon,

I am "Converting" a 45K-track FLAC library to update to the current recommended DSP ReplayGain standard and to ensure everything has both track and album ReplayGain tags.
I have now set both Track & Album.
The album tag is set as the basis for...

Multi Encoder with ReplayGain not Adding Album Gain Tags

    Hi,

Just started using dBpoweramp, so I'm not sure if this is a bug or user error, but I'm having issues with the Multi Encoder writing album gain tags using the ReplayGain DSP. The same setup NOT using Multi Encoder writes the album tags just fine.

I'm on OS X Sierra running...

    Replaygain Utility for Mac OS

    Hi to you all,

I just payed for dBpoweramp Mac, mainly to use the ReplayGain features and leave behind Max, XLD, Crossover and Foobar2000 for conversion from FLAC to ALAC (Apple lossless) and for tagging MP3s to import all these files into my really big iTunes-Collection. There are thousands

    ReplayGain hangs?

    Hi

I ran Batch Converter to redo the ReplayGain on 8,761 FLAC files. It seems to hang with the following symptoms:
    • Progress bar is completed
    • All CPUs have completed
    • Clock is still running (11 hrs encounting)
    • No apparent disk activity (as per Task Manager)

Warning: Normalisation gain would have resulted in clipping, gain has been reduced to prevent this:...

ReplayGain the same for all tracks

    Hi

I'm confused a bit about ReplayGain and I want to do the following. I want all my tracks to be leveled off against each other. So, not just within an album but all 8,000+ tracks. Also, when I add new ones I want these to be levelled as well.

    What settings and process...
