R17 will not install 64-bit version on Windows Vista

I notice in the release notes for R17 that support for Windows XP has been dropped, and the minimum OS is now Vista.

I have a virtual-machine running Windows Vista Home Premium 64-bit, and have tried to install the latest dBpoweramp R17 trial

Hi Spoon,
I'm still happily using R14 - still works fine , same as batch convert etc - I'm in no hurry to update - how long away is R17 - think I missed out by a few months for the free update last time .

I mainly ripping movies at moment so can wait awhile- before...
