Can't detect any key discs with new drive

I just recently purchased a new DVD-RW drive, an ASUS - DRW-42B1ST j. I needed to replace a very old late 2000's BD-R drive which stopped working. I've ripped hundreds of discs using the old BD-R drive which always worked fine with AccurateRip configured. But my new ASUS drive is...

I have ripped probably 30-40 CDs using CD Ripper - every time I insert a disk it prompts me to configure AccurateRip using the audio CD and every time I get an error message saying:

"This Key Disc cannot be used for offset detection it does not match the AccurateRip stored disc,...

I just got a new external drive for ripping. (ASUS SDRW-08D2S-U, if that matters). The first disc was a Key Disc, and dBpa asked for two more key discs. Each time I insert one, however, I get a message that the disc can't be used to configure AccurateRip.

I have 5 disks that are found in the accuraterip database

2 of the 6 drives (4-5 year old drives) configure accuraterip just fine and rip these 5 disks with matching accuraterip CRCs (i.e. they are known good disks).
