    Can't read CD error

I am admittedly BRAND NEW to not only this program but ripping CD's in general. I am trying to rip CD's that i have borrowed to create a digital music library from scratch. Two of my first three attempts at ripping a CD have ended up in messages like the following for every song on the CDs. The third...

    Inaccurate but Secure

Hello! I was just wondering what it meant when it says that a rip is "Inaccurate but Secure (Warning)"? I was ripping a CD, and three of the tracks had that message. They had very high confidence numbers, while the other tracks (which were all accurate) had relatively low numbers. Does...

Errors when ripping a 60-minute track

I'm trying to rip an audio CD that has a single 60:02 track on it, to a FLAC. But with each attempt, I get an error and CD Ripper (15.3) just makes a small 159K file which of course won't play. Are there any issues with tracks of this length or could it be a different cause? Thanks.

  • Error messages using Test Conversion in Batch Converter

Apologies if this has been addressed elsewhere- I searched but could not find it.

I used the Test Conversion in Batch Converter on a large library of ~18,000 tracks including mp3, flac, wav and m4a formats. It reported 206 errors which included only mp3 and flac file types. I've begun...

  • Are CD drives really this inaccurate? How could our software even work?

Hi, I'm new to dbpoweramp (just downloaded it a few minutes ago). I'm very surprised to hear that 2% of all ripped CDs have errors. How is that possible? We use CD drives to install software. If the error rate were that high, our software wouldn't run correctly. Surely computer CD and DVD drives are...

  • Powerfile R200 works for single disc but gives ripping errors in batch

I'm trying to get batch ripping working on a creaky old XP computer (only thing I've got with a Firewire port) and have followed the Powerfile directions on the website. The software loads discs, acquires metadata, and rips all tracks properly if I run dBPoweramp standalone (i.e. by invoking it outside...

  • Tracks appearing with "Error" during rip "Rerip Frames"

With some of the tracks I've been ripping to mp3 (lame), I receive errors to which dBpoweramp tries to re-rip the frames.

I've tried cleaning the disc, rebooting my machine and ripping again. However I encounter the same errors on the exact same tracks.

    Are there any other...

    Unable to rip securely

    Hi

I have the latest version of CD Ripper (14.3 Reference). I'm not too sure what has changed, but I had followed all the setting recommended for secure ripping, setting C2 pointers etc. I have previously ripped many CDs before I now hit the same error every time

    "Information...

    Rip status history

I have ripped a couple hundred of my CD's and want to go back for the tracks that showed as inaccurate and try them with error correction. I assumed that the rip status is stored somewhere but don't know where. Any suggestions?

    Is dMC R13.4 (un)reliable?

    Hi

My first time using dMC and it did something weird when ripping a CD, ofcourse it could perhaps just be me not doing things right. Just out curiosity i'm posting this to hear what might be the cause... if someone has something to say about it or something i can do to double check the...
