Sony BDP-S570 DLNA misses start of music track

I posted this on a Sony forum, but got no answers. I wonder if anyone has used Asset with a Sony BDP-S570, and if they see the same effect ?

I'm posting this as a "solution note", in case others have the same issue, to perhaps spare them some troubleshooting cycles.. I've finally settled on Asset UPnP after unsuccessfully trying to get JRiver and iSidore to play nice with my Sony BDP-S570 via DLNA. Thanks...
