Image up/downscaling algorithms?

i may be missing something obvious, but can I not specify which upscaling or downscaling algorithm the Image Converter will use? it unfortunately becomes almost useless to me if i can't batch downscale images in a high quality (by which i mean lanczos or bicubic, rather than nearest neighbor or bilinear)...

Hi,

When encoding to MP3 (lame) CBR320 what is the actual difference between three possible encoding algorithms apart encoding time?
(Algorithms in use are Slow, Normal and Fast)
Speed seems to roughly double from Slow to Fast but end result file size is the same.
