  • CD Ripper 16.2/Windows 10 - folder permissions weirdness

    Hi

I hope someone can help me... I recently upgraded to 16.2 on my 64-bit W10 machine. I wasn't having any problems before this, so I am assuming that this may well be the source of the problems I'm experiencing.

Basically, I usually use dbpoweramp in multi-encodign mode...

    CD Ripper dropping file extensions

CD Ripper has started to drop file extensions on my computer. Instead of a file extension like ".flac," I am getting file names that end in "._"

After a computer reboot, on the first disk ripped all filenames have the flac extension, the second disk had five files...

    OSX iTunes cd ripper separators

After using dBpoweramp for Windows together with iTunes for quite some years, I have recently switched to OSX.

I can't seem to figure out which separator to use in the cd ripper for OsX. Under Windows10 when importing files into iTunes the separator ";" was automatically converted...

  • CD Ripper does't include file extension on ripped file

Just re-installed DB PowerAmp Rev16.1-ref on Win10 64 bit computer. When used on the same computer under Win7 64 bit had no problems with CD Ripper. Now when I try to rip any track from a CD and save it to a folder, the track gets created in the intended destination, but has a "_" as the file...

  • BUG - CD Ripper manual fill fields tab jumps to wrong boxes

    Hi Guys,

Every now and then I have to enter data for a CD that's not in the library.

    Metadata missing - version 15.1

Until recently I would see metadata providers - usually four.
    Now I see none.
The metadata providers are all selected on the pull-down Meta menu. CD-text is NOT selected.
The CDs I'm ripping have never been near this computer before.
    What am I doing wrong?

    Multiple Extraction Logs with Multi-Encoder

Hello! I was just wondering how to produce multiple extraction logs when ripping using the multi-encoder. For example, if I am ripping a disc to both FLAC and MP3 (and therefore there are two different folder destinations), then since I have FLAC selected first, the FLAC folder will contain the extraction...

CD Ripper poor at getting the right metadata

    Hello,
Using the CD Ripper, metadata, when asked, is grabbed from MusicBrainz and inserted, but is often not correct, or a different language.
The same CD in, for example, XLD, offers a choice from Musicbrainz, and one is able to select the right choice. Same goes for iTunes, and other...

    Naming Convention for Compilation Albums

Hello! I had a question regarding the naming convention for compilation albums. I've read multiple threads about different naming conventions of users of dBpoweramp, and one consistency is that almost all of them like to keep their compilation albums in a folder called "Various Artists"...

    Inaccurate but Secure

Hello! I was just wondering what it meant when it says that a rip is "Inaccurate but Secure (Warning)"? I was ripping a CD, and three of the tracks had that message. They had very high confidence numbers, while the other tracks (which were all accurate) had relatively low numbers. Does...

  • Ripping to BWF Format + Ripping with Multi-Encoder vs. Batch Converting

Hello! I've been ripping CDs for a while, but just recently clued in to things like audio quality and audio formats (which is why I eventually researched and purchased dBpoweramp). This means that I will be re-ripping my entire collection . I just had a couple of questions to make sure that I don't...

  • R16 - CD Ripper - Album Art finder works with strange "pattern"?

    Hi,

the current CD has the meta data:
    • Artist: Moby

The pattern the album art finder works is "MobyMoby - ".

    CD ripper has stopped working.

I've been using dbpoweramp for a few months and have been very impressed with it, however last night I was ripping some brand new cds and after the first 3 ripped fine the 4th one wouldn't rip. An error notification came up and the disc ejected. I tried again with the same result, I then tried ripping...
