  1. dBpoweramp Music Converter Scripting Unicode Support

Does the dBpoweramp Music Converter Scripting interface support non-ANSI strings? I expect that it would, because the COM BSTR type is a wide character string. I'm having trouble passing non-ANSI...
  2. Re: CoreConverter can't convert FLAC files with Unicode names

Oh, OK. Somehow I thought those had some special meaning. I'm trying to execute CoreConverter.exe from a Perl script, and I now think that the command interpreter is messing up the filename.
  3. Re: CoreConverter can't convert FLAC files with Unicode names

Note I can't figure out what the original filename was. Maybe an example with a name that can be displayed here (I'm testing "Björk") would help. Thanks.

  5. Re: CoreConverter can't convert FLAC files with Unicode names

    WHAT...THE...$%@*@%&????

    Where is THAT documented????

I can't find any "UNICODE" or "FN-" mentioned anywhere in http://www.dbpoweramp.com/developer-cli-encoder.htm

    HOLY CRAP!!!
  6. CoreConverter can't convert FLAC files with Unicode names

I can't find a good way to process FLAC files that have Unicode names with CoreConverter.exe. The raw names aren't recognized, and short names don't work because CoreConverter determines the audio...

    Re: Crashes

Great, thanks. I finally figured out that the other crashes were on the same file (I don't have good tools for searching binary files for UTF-16 text.)

Yes, but I might need to split it into several zip files. Where should I send it? Thanks.

    Re: Crashes

Do the .dmp files contain the names of the files that caused the crashes? If so, can you please send me an email with those filenames? I have since overwritten the log and don't know which files...

    Crashes

I had 4 crashes checking a large number of files for corruption using coreconverter.exe. I received messages indicating that I should post the dump files here. Three dump files are in the attached...
  12. Feature request: Remember last encoding for selected file type.

I generally convert WavPack/MonkeyAudio/FLAC to WAV files for trimming and editing, then back to FLAC for archive and playback. I never convert FLAC to FLAC or WAV to WAV. It would be nice if the...

    Re: dBpoweramp Renaissance Discussions

The typelib for uPlayer makes it appear to be an OLE Automation object like DMCScripting and the uPlayer interfaces appear to be compatible with OLE Automation, but I can't locate the name of the...

    Scripting with Perl

Here is sample code for calling the converter from a Perl script. The "use utf8;" statement is only needed if utf-8 characters are used in the script itself as in this example; scripts that get their...

    Re: Wav convert to FLAC

DSP effects seem to only be available in the registered version. If the problem is that the WAV format is 32 bit float, it can be converted to 24 bit WAV format with dBpoweramp by selecting the...
