  1. Re: Can I keep the files I converted with trial version

    That's true testing!
  2. Re: Can I keep the files I converted with trial version

trial is full featured. Your rips with the trial version are exactly what you'd get with the paid version. Keep them.
  3. Re: Place output in folder structure [Artist]/[Album]

As Dat Ei notes, yes, you can create any folder structure you prefer. You do this in the naming function (lower left side of ripper screen). I use this naming string and it deals with compilations,...
  4. Re: Anything faster than PerfectTunes to find audio file duplicates?

Yep, I suspect this is about 300,000 tracks.....
  5. Re: Anything faster than PerfectTunes to find audio file duplicates?

not that I am aware of.
  6. Re: Newly Ripped CD's Not Showing Up In Roon - Help!

In roon: settings > library > skipped files

and when you look at home > added, do they show up as most recently added?

edit. I suspect something in your watched folder settings in roon.
  7. Re: Newly Ripped CD's Not Showing Up In Roon - Help!

I do not have to do anything special in ripping FLAC files to work with ROON, including files ripped within the last week. Do they show up as skipped files in roon?
  8. Re: Anything faster than PerfectTunes to find audio file duplicates?

should only take a day. Unless the files are on a NAS. Are the files on a drive connected directly to the pc running perfecttunes. That is way faster.

    Re: Converting Track Names

assuming the tag data is all there (i.e., ARTIST, TRACK, TITLE, etc), you can use "convert to" ARRANGE AUDIO utility DSP to rename your tracks based on the info you want.

    You may need to install...
  11. Re: Accurate Rip Check for Hi-Re Purchases from Qobuz possible?

bottom line: there is no current way with AccurateRip to do an AR database match with files other than 16/44.1 (CD quality) files. I even have downloaded purchased 16/44.1 files that can't be...

Re: PLEX Media Server & Normalization

look at the tags on your older FLAC files and you'll see ReplayGain tags if you added these at the time of ripping.
  13. Re: Do you think including name of artist in track is unnecessary

Completely unnecessary in all my use cases. My home LMS server or Roon server, foobar2000 at the office or on my mobile devices (iphone or ipad) or music app on my iphone or ipad.

    does foobar2000...
  14. Re: When you rip a CD, how can you make it go into jut one folder instead of two fold

use this instead. it doesn't create separate disc folders for multidisk. If there is a multidisc, it simply adds the disk number in front of the track number (e.g., 2.05, 2.06)
    ...
  15. Re: When you rip a CD, how can you make it go into jut one folder instead of two fold

Maybe this is what you want. Handles compilations too, using "Various Artists" as the artist name for album folder. the underlines at end of name are likely because you have a stray space or two at...
  16. Re: When you rip a CD, how can you make it go into jut one folder instead of two fold

then just change the naming string to do that. For example, the "[track] - [title]" at the end would instead be:

    [track] - [artist] - [title]
if you want the track number first. if you want the...
  17. Re: When you rip a CD, how can you make it go into jut one folder instead of two fold

I'm not following your problem. Provide a bit more specific detail. I suspect the error is caused by your naming string not being based on either Album Artist or Artist, and if using artist only and...
  18. Re: Is it possible to rip a CD directly to an NAS drive?

are you able to give the NAS drive a letter drive in your windows machine? If so, you should be able to rip directly there, just by pointing to that "letter" drive in the ripper location setting.
  19. Re: Plastic Ono Band Ultimate Collection--shows Japanese song titles

what happens when in CD ripper and you click on the "tag" icon at the top of the screen and it takes you to any alternatives it has from the different tag databases?
  20. Re: No Audible Disadvantage in Using Burst Mode v Secure Mode

exactly! And with secure ripping settings, it is automated that dbpa first does a BURST rip and if this is an AccurateRip match, you're done. If it is not an AR match, then it goes on to do more...

are you sure it is not ripping to AIFF format?
  22. Re: How do you change album cover that you've already chosen for an album?

No need to do that. Just use ID TAG UPDATE to change the embedded art. Or if you only have folder.jpg or cover.jpg in album directory, just replace this with the correct art, named properly...
  23. Re: How do you change album cover that you've already chosen for an album?

Is your album art embedded in the files or saved as a file in the folder of the album (folder.jpg or cover.jpg)?

Re: FLAC or ALAC, which one to choose

For me, this is the key reason to use FLAC (and one that many do not seem to understand, until they have file corruption issues and then it is too late).
