dBpoweramp not showing after Windows Update

If CD Ripper or Batch Converter appears on the taskbar but the window is not shown, first run a different application so it has focus. Then hover the mouse over the taskbar icon and a small Window will display above the taskbar, right click this Window >> Maximise.

There have been many reports that the recent security update KB3057839 to Windows Vista is breaking dBpoweramp (CD Ripper and Batch Converter will not show). We have not been able to reproduce this issue locally, however it has been found that functionality can be restored by either: 1) Uninstall the update KB3057839 or 2)
