    Do the video converter remove region codes as to make the filer region free?

    It cannot remove copy protection, the region codes are pre-copy protection.

      Thanks for the clarification, Spoon. Just to confirm, since region codes are part of the disc’s structure before any copy protection is added, does that mean if someone is converting a file that’s already been ripped (and is no longer encrypted), the region code wouldn’t be an issue during conversion? Or would it still carry over in some form? Just trying to understand how that works technically.

        Correct the region restriction would not exist for an already ripped disc..

          Most video converters do not remove region codes. Region locking is usually tied to the DVD/Blu-ray protection, and you need specific DVD-ripping software to remove or bypass region codes before converting the file.
