Hey everybody! ~ Dr. Nick
I know the issue of dMC on Linux via Wine has been discussed here before, but after a complete search of the forum I noticed there's been no mention of the CD Input part. The CDGrab.exe app runs fine, but it apparently doesn't recognize the cd drive configured in Wine. I've installed some COM update patches from Microsoft for Win98, and the Nero ASPI update hoping they might fix the problem, but no such luck.
This message scrolls along in the console while I'm running dMC:
err:aspi:ASPI_ExecScsiCmd Failed: Wanted hostadapter 7, but we have only 0.
I think the layman's translation of this is "it's not gonna work", but I thought I'd post it in case someone else has run into this issue and figured out a work around.
Now I'm going to add my vote for a native Linux version in the Wishlist. :-)
Thanks!
Aaron
