I am trying to accomplish a relatively simple task - mix down stereo audiobook into mono.
I used both Channel Count and Channel Mapper for that.
However, the output file (which I expected to become twice smaller than input) is about the same or even slightly larger.
There's little explanation about Channel Count, what does it do? does it mix all channels into one OR does it select only one channel?
Does it only change file metadata?
Why mono output file is not smaller than the stereo?
