Re: URGENT: Apple Lossless availability fail upon encode
sorry to use this its the only way I can find and I'm not being thick (I hope) to contact and ask pre sales question - I have just registered and cannot find how to get in contact - the contact us link throws up a 404 error and I seem to be unable to post - I need to trial the software to ensure it does what I need but although it says I can trial it for 21 days there is only an option to purchaseLeave a comment:

I have tried to source the Codec on your sight but failed. How can I fix the problem.

Looks like you have R13.5 which would not have had the Apple Lossless Codec as default (which R14 does).Leave a comment:

Re: URGENT: Apple Lossless availability fail upon encode
For the record, the same happened upon installation on a replacement PC, also Win XP SP2. Configuration showed Apple Lossless (ALAC) missing:
I copied C:\Program Files\Illustrate\dBpoweramp\encoder\Apple Lossless.dll from a previous installation. This fixed it:

Re: URGENT: Apple Lossless availability fail upon encode
There was Apple Lossless.ico but no Apple Lossless.dll (I think my OP report of Apple Lossless Version Number must have been for the non-compressed variety).
Reinstall fixed it.

Re: URGENT: Apple Lossless availability fail upon encode
Apple Lossless is supplied as standard with R14 now, but if you are installing it and it does not appear then your virus checker might be removing the file.Leave a comment:

URGENT: Apple Lossless availability fail upon encode
On a Win XP Pro SP2 machine here, Conversion fails to find the installed Apple Lossless encoder (shows it greyed).
On a Win XP Home SP2 machine, it is fine.
Same dBPA versions on each: MC V13.3.0.2, Apple Lossless V11.0.0.0.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.Tags: None
