Re: another Dynamic Folder question
garym
thanks, ill try that, it actually doesnt matter if the 'converted' directory is inside the artist subdir; i just though it'll be easier to manage when populating my mp3 player, but i guess i was wrong...

Re: another Dynamic Folder question
wouldn't it be easier to create your mirror at 128 with something likei have a bunch of different formats, i just used FLAC as an example.
The problem i have is converting 320kbps mp3 to 128kbps mp3. I want to do this:
(1) c:\music\audioslave\audioslave\01-cochise.mp3
CONVERT (1) to:
(2) c:\music\audioslave\audioslave\converted\01-cochise.mp3
While keeping (1) intact, but i've tried all possible dynamic naming i could think of and still ask me to overwrite (1).
[TRIMFIRSTFOLDER][origfilename]
with the directory target as c:\convertedmusic
Then everything you have in c:\music will be converted to a lower bitrate and be in c:\convertedmusic, with all the lower directories exactly the same. Then you'll have both. Is there any reason the "converted" directory needs to live underneath the artist subdirectory. Or is this something other than a "mirror". I have a mp3 mirror of all my FLAC files, and the above approach works perfectly for me.Leave a comment:

Re: another Dynamic Folder question
If your source file is FLAC, then there is nothing to worry about as it will write a mp3. Look in Windows Explorer to see if an mp3 file already exists (have you previously set it converting)?Leave a comment:

Re: another Dynamic Folder question
i've tried that already and it keeps asking for replace/overwrite (in the case of mp3 of course)... and i dont understand why because it shouldnt be converting the file to the same locationLeave a comment:

another Dynamic Folder question
Hi, im batch converting some files and i want the output to be the same origin folder + new folder.
Example
c:\artist1\album1\music.flac
and i want it to be:
c:\artist1\album1\convertedmusic\music.mp3
and like so for all of the 1000+ files im converting, but the problem is that i keep getting ALL of the 1000+ files in
c:\artist1\album1\convertedmusic\ALL OF THE 1000+ FILES
instead of:
c:\artist2\album2\convertedmusic\music.mp3
c:\artist3\album3\convertedmusic\music.mp3
c:\artist4\album4\convertedmusic\music.mp3
Some help would be great...Tags: None
