AC3 to WMA 10 5.1

Hi, I hope someone can help me out. I use to be able to convert ac3 to wma 10 5.1 just fine and then all of a sudden it would do it but the end result was not great. It would do it but when i would play it was really slow. Am I doing something wrong or is there something I should uninstall or install?
