Re: CD Ripper is crashing my Windows 7 Computer
Dbpoweramp is working fine with my Samsung netbook with Windows 7 Starter.
But -- when I try to use it with my Windows 7 Toshiba Portege Laptop , although it worked fine at first, it now crashed my computer into BSOD simply if I try to relaunch DBpoweramp (so I guess I couldn't even adjust configurations without reinstalling).
any suggestions on what configuration changes i might try (assuming i reinstall)Leave a comment:

Re: CD Ripper is crashing my Windows 7 Computer
My brother had the same problem with his laptop running windows 7. Windows crashes when Dbpoweramp finishes ripping a cd or crashes starting to rip a cd. We uninstall Dbpoweramp then reinstall it and finally found out that we have to uncheck "eject after rip" and "prevent auto-run on all drives" and it solve the problem. We have tried with just one or the other being checked and windows crashes. So we have to leave both uncheck to make it work. Hope this help someone with the same problem. (might be a problem on just laptop as drawer does't close or open? by itself)Last edited by Gilver; January 05, 2012, 12:52 AM.Leave a comment:

Re: CD Ripper is crashing my Windows 7 Computer
Spoon,
You have me at the limit of my knowledge, but I believe the answer is no. I'm using the Intel Rapid Storage Technology driver. I believe the following is related to your line of questioning: your LoaderUnloader.exe program ejects a CD, rather than causing a BSOD.Leave a comment:

Re: CD Ripper is crashing my Windows 7 Computer
After fighting with BSODs for a day, I found that they are triggered on my system (Windows 7, 64-bit) by choosing "Prevent auto-run on all CD drives".Leave a comment:

Hunter, when does it crash for you? if you click eject? or whilst ripping?Leave a comment:

Re: CD Ripper is crashing my Windows 7 Computer
Hi Kens,

PROBLEM SOLVED!!!
Thanks, for everyone's help.
I Googled the Driver IRQL not less or equal message, and found a recommendation to install a driver update program because the message may mean that I have a bad or missing driver. I did this and it fixed my problem with CDRipper.Leave a comment:

Re: CD Ripper is crashing my Windows 7 Computer
Thanks Spoon, but nothing in CD drive.
This is almost a brand new laptop, so besides a simple database program there are no other add-on programs installed except CDRipper. As I mentioned, this only happens when CDRipper launches.
1. I launch CD Ripper and the main screen appears for about two seconds.
2. I then get the Blue Screen of Death.
3. There is a message that "Driver IRQL not less or equal."
4. This is only happening with CDRipper.Leave a comment:

Try starting CD Ripper with no CD discs in any drives, does it load?Leave a comment:

Re: CD Ripper is crashing my Windows 7 Computer
Thanks, but that did not work.
I turned off my virus protection, but it's the same protection that I use on my Vista machine where everything works fine.
I reinstalled CD Ripper, but this time I was unable to to change the option settings because as soon as the program launches it crashes my computer. The Windows message that I receive is, "A problem has been detected and Windows has had to shutdown to prevent damage to your computer." This appears to be a Windows generated message for a problem relating to CD Ripper, so not some other program.Leave a comment:

Re: CD Ripper is crashing my Windows 7 Computer
I'm sure that's true, but I don't know what's different, so I was hoping for someone who might know of an issue under certain circumstances.Leave a comment:
