I've only just registered on the forum but have been a very content user of the dbPoweramp ripper for almost two years, during which I've ripped well over 1000 CDs to FLAC without a single hiccough. Thanks for such a great tool.
It's a shame the same can't be said for the ancillary stuff that sits alongside dbPoweramp for populating metadata; I have to say that the quality of much of the metadata available for CDs from places like FreeDB is pretty poor, being littered with typos, errors and inconsistencies. I have to re-edit the metadata for most of the CDs I rip. It's a shame people don't take more care as it isn't rocket science and everyone benefits if the data is right. Mind you, some of the metadata on downloads isn't much better. Moan over.
