Success!! Problem appears to be resolved. I went back & reread this thread - I disabled privacy AND parental controls. AMG is back!

Tried Ben Folds - Way To Normal
Retrieved: AMG, freedb

Tried a second classical release
Retrieved: AMG, GD3, MusicBrainz, freedb

I disabled Privacy Control in BitDefender.

Tried Tom Petty "Full Moon Fever" -
Retrieved: GD3, MusicBrainz, freedb - no AMG

Tried Ben Folds - Way To Normal
Retrieved: freedb only

Tried Van Cliburn: My Favorite Rachmaninov
Retrieved: GD3, freedb

AMG is perhaps most helpful for classical releases & typically covers my obscure titles as well. I feel certain at least 1 of these titles is in AMG.

It looks like GD3, MusicBrainz are working, although, I would have thought the Ben Folds release would be in those by now.

A quick note:
I located dBPowerAmp on BitDefender's Firewall list of "allowed" programs (i.e. it is "allowed" to communicate) by BitDefender.

Just trying to narrow down the issue.

If it says 360 days remaining then there is no need to reactivate it. From CD Ripper is GD3 and Music Brainz being retrieved?

No, only freedb.

First may I say that dbPowerAmp is easily the best ripping, conversion software I've ever used (and I've tried more than I care to mention.)

I recently upgraded to 13.1 of Music Converter. A few days ago, Perfect Meta only retrieved freedb info. I had 6 days remaining on my AMG license.

I thought that might be the issue, so I updated my AMG license & activated it. It seemed to be successful. I now have 360 days access remaining, but it it is still only retrieving freedb.

I tried turning the different services on & off via the drop-down menu of the Meta tab in the interface - no change.

I am running XP Pro.
I tried turning off the Windows Firewall - no change.
I am running BitDefender security, if that helps.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
