Still have to press 'restart' after pc awakes ! Wonder if there's a problem with the QNAP

Afraid not...!

ps. Discovered that asset only works whilst PC is running whereas before QNAP firmware update it ran regardless !

Try restarting everything (full power down of router, switches, nas).

What is 'reconnected' please?

Going in to Asset Configeration then clicking Restart Asset

Updated QNAP nas firmware, now Asset UpNp has to be reconnected,after switching controller off, to appear on controller ?
