Banana Pi Versus raspberry pi

I have been using a raspberry pi 3 with Asset which has worked well. However, I wondered if there was a speed advantage in using a Banana Pi as it has SATA interface for direct connection of the hard drive. What I am particularly keen to achieve is a quicker access time to the start of a song or selection of an album.

Does anyone know if the Banana pi will provide what I am looking for?
