Help please? How do I clean all AssetUPnP settings for clean install on Synology NAS

Hello, I am desperate. I have an Asset install on a Synology DS216SE and access using Windows.

I have the newest December build and I am suffering with a bug where the scan shows zero folders and a limited count of files. The scanning loops continually quickly counting up in chunks of 500 meaning my drives are constantly active.

I tried to install a previous version but the install will not let me revert to an earlier version.

I have got so desperate, I did a Reset of DSM and a fresh install of the Asset version of September.

Even with a fresh DSM, there are settings the Asset install is recalling so my new install is cooked also ie it knows my Order Nuber, Scan directory and the file count and folder issue remains as before.

Where are these settings stored so that I can clean them off my NAS and install Asset afresh please?

The install seems to have inherited the corruption of the December install so in Packages, choosing Asset, none of the dropdown option ie Uninstall work!

    I am extremely frustrated.

    Thank you for your help.

Recent problems with Asset on Synology are being investigated.
I'm sorry but I'm unable to help you at this time, none of this is supposed to happen (uninstall should clear any leftovers) and I can't reproduce this on my own Synology unit.
I'll get back to you as soon as I know more about the issue.

To manually clear any leftovers from previous versions, locate Asset data folder - on my machine it is:
      Code:
      /volume1/@apphome/Asset
      And remove it.
You might have to use terminal commands to do it, SSH to your NAS, then:
      Code:
      sudo rm -rf /volume1/@apphome/Asset
Substitute path with actual path from your machine if different from the above.

The folder is not accessible from File Station etc.

Thank you Peter. I did also try removing the Asset folders as you suggest and still seemed to have some sort of hangover. I am at a bit of a loss at the moment but equally my NAS is thrashing away which is far from ideal.

I might need to backup data to external drives and format!

Might you be aware of a Synology version of Asset which is thought to be free of this issue and am I able to download historical versions from somewhere?

        Thank you very much.
