    Conversion Speed

Why does it take 28 minutes to convert a 4 minute wmv file to mp3? I checked the Task Manager and DBconvert.exe was only using 6-10% of the CPU. I am running XP Pro with a 2ghz clock and 256mb ram also a 1.6gb swap file. WHat am I not doing correctly. I can open Windows Move Maker and Windows Media Player. Play the wmv with media player and record a wma with movie maker in 4 minutes.

      Conversion Results

I am registered now and performed a test and here are my results. I used a Toshiba Satellite 1905-S301 with 256M ram and a 2.0 ghz P4 Processor. My Operating System is Windows XP Pro with IE6 SP1. I downloaded the most recent DBPowerAmpConvertor, the Windows Media V9 Codec both parts and The Power Pack. After all where installed I rebooted and proceeded to convert files.

Looks like a problem with Video files, it seems to be converting the video stream into sound...no good. I will look into it, hoepfully sometime this weekend. Drop me an email to dbpoweramp@dbpoweramp.com so I can keep you informed.

          See here:

A quick bug fix, this one will extract the audio from a video file correctly. NB see the main codec download page for WMA to get all the correct system files before installing (if have not already done so). This beta will last for 3-4 days, download: www.dbpoweramp.com/beta/dBpowerAMP-codec-wmav9.exe 260KB

New Beta Codec works much better

The new Codec you linked to in your post worked much better in terms of time and performance. Is there a reference anywhere which explains the DSP's and their uses that come with Power Pack.

Volume Normalize and DC Offset are my first questions.
