    Real system media to mp3?

I have a real system media file that I want t convert to mp3. But even though I've downloaded the codec for realplayer my real system media file still doesnt show up on the dMC. Anyone have any ideas why and a solution?

    Thanks very much

What suffix does the real media file have? Have you checked the file associations, what program is associated with the real media files?

The suffix is .rmj and it's associated with realplayer 10 at the moment which is my default player.

      Hope you can help! Thanks.

        1. Download the Convertor, the dBpowerAMP-codec-ra codec, install both on your machine.

        2. Rename the .rmj file extensions to .rm - Real player will still recognise them.

        3. If you get an error message that says that the Codec could not be opened - ensure that you have Real Player installed as the convertor requires it.

That's it, it works a treat - excellent utility.

The only thing to be aware of is that it will take the length of time of the recording to convert, however, if you have XP, you can run several conversions at the same time.

        All the best.

Thanks so much, it works fantastic! Does take a while - 6minutes and 22 seconds to be exact. Fortunately I do have XP, and was able to multitask efficiently.

          U absolute star, thanks again

how i do rename the file extension to .rm? whenever i try to rename the file it keeps the file extension and just adds .rm to the file name.

You have the default set to hide known extensions. You can change that under windows explorer under tools, then go to folder options. It is under the view tab
