Hi!
I just bought dBpoweramp Reference R12 for high quality ripping of my 500+ CD collection to FLAC. I installed the software and started dBpoweramp CD Ripper. In order to configure AccurateRip, I inserted several different CDs accepted by my old EAC+AccurateRip setup for key disc configuration. AccurateRip pops up a dialog stating: "This Audio CD can be used to configure AccurateRip." (An image of the dialog can be found here: http://folk.uio.no/chrisha/dialogs/dialog1.png)
When I press the 'Configure'-button, another dialog pops up stating (quite contradictory to the first dialog) that "This key disc cannot be used for offset detection (it does not match the one stored in AccurateRip database), please try a different Key Disc." (An image of the dialog can be found here: http://folk.uio.no/chrisha/dialogs/dialog2.png)
I have tried several different audio CDs, some of which have been successfully used to configure EAC+AccurateRip earlier. No matter which disc I insert, the same contradictory messages pop up. I have tried uninstalling any installed dBpoweramp program, EAC and old AccurateRip installations, cleaning the registry for any EAC- or dBpoweramp-related entry, then reinstall dBpoweramp Reference after a reboot. Same thing happens.
My CD-ROM is a Plextor UltraPlex PX-40TSi (with latest firmware 1.14) in an external SCSI enclosure attached to an Adaptec 1480A CardBus SCSI controller. I have checked that all cables are properly connected, and that the SCSI bus is terminated. I have also tried using SCSI Pass Through (SPT), Adaptec ASPI and Nero ASPI as communication method, all of which gives the same confusing error messages as described above. The drive is working perfectly both with EAC and ordinary data CD-ROM applications.
Hope someone can help me with this one.
