By default parallels creates a virtual CD drive which dBpoweramp cannot use, dBpoweramp needs direct access to the drive.
"In Parallels, go to devices, find the name of your CD Drive and select it. Parallels likes to use a virtual drive as the default CD drive. Clicking on Real Cd should also work. My external drive is seen as drive D. If I disconnect that and use the sony superdrive then it is also seen as Drive D and is also seen as Sony XXXXetc. DBPoweramp works really well for me under parallels."
