    Next release 13.3 / 8kb transfers

First of all with this new release 13.3 / Music Brainz is operational for me for the 1st time since more than one year than I've purchased DBP. Thanks for this.

An other thing on secure mode it is mentionned now :

    8Kb transfers (C2 Pointers over Usb/Firewire).

It is better to check this case or not.

My drive : Plextor Premium 2 which support C2 Pointers

    Thanks
    Thierry

Are c2 pointers already detected? If yes, don't check
Is your drive an external on USB or Firewire? If no, don't check

My drive is a Plextor Premium 2 but in an external case (usb). C2 pointer has been detected during the test with a cd damaged.

So in my case you confirm it is preferable to don't check this case?

you can try both ways, but if its working without this option that is probably the best. Hopefully spoon will weigh in and add some clarity.

I believe that if you are using C2 successfully without that checkbox, then leave it unchecked. If you are having trouble ripping with C2 on, check the 8KB box.

Correct, 8kb transfers will rip slower.
