    sample offset

    i have been reading the accurate rip site and i dont qwite understand what a sample offset is

    im guessing a small value for sample offset is good

    and that accurate rip will make sure that your offset is compensated for

    also how does the sample offset affect created audio files ?

    More details are in the forum. Here's an explaination:


    It seems that offsets don't affect the end rip if the CD drive can read into the lead-in and lead-out setions. Even if it cannot, though, remember that the offset number is shown out of the 44,100 samples taken every second.

      so all it is, is basically you can loose 1/100th of a second at the start and at the end of a track

        Yes, that 100th of a second is needed for an 100% acuraterip though.

          yeah i know what you mean about getting 100% perfect rips

          though all im bothered is getting perfect sounding rips not to bothered about the offsets but nice to know :D cheers spoon for al your info
