    will qwality suffer if i use audacity to chop up a track into a few sections ?

    You'll have to be more explicit. What file type (complete specs) for input and for output. If you change no settings, it should be the same quality.

        no, it wont. wav is a lossless codec so unless you make some changes to the file by deleting or changing something in it it shouldnt change from the original file.
