    Highest Quality LAME Mp3 Settings

Hey there. Sorry if this has been asked before. I searched as best I could, but could not find a complete answer to my question.

I have some .flac files that I am trying to convert into mp3's. Using dbpoweramp, what are the best options to maintain the highest possible quality in lame format?

    Specifically:
    1. Is Target: Quality (VBR), Bit Rate (ABR), Bit Rate (CBR), or Free Format?
    2. I assume "Slow" for encoding.
    3. Should I keep the frequency as "as source?"
    4. Should the channels be set to: auto, stereo, joint stereo, forced joint stereo, dual channels?

Again, I'm trying to keep as much quality as possible. Thanks!

CBR 320 kbps is the best you can get out of lame. Frequency as source, Channels as auto.

240 VBR is nothing to shake a stick at either. Very few can tell any difference between it and 320 cbr. If you can you probably should stick with flac. Saves space too.
