I am unable to intall the flac converter. The installation gives the
error message: "Error whilst running <PATH>\MusicConverter.exe".
This happens during the installation itself, so I never get to the point
of actually trying to run the program.
I know this has been addressed before, but they seemed to be trying
to install multiple products, and I am just trying to install the converter.
Any help on this?

Have you already installed dBpowerAmp Music Converter itself? Did you install this codec to the same directory?

Thank you for the reply. I didn't realize this at first, but then
found some other posts that stated this requirement. However,
when I go to downloads.com and try to get the recorder, nothing
happens and the page it comes from is unavailable. Will try again
tomorrow.

There is a direct download link on the dMC download page. It is a local link to use only if the download.com link doesn't work. But its recommended to download the latest dMC beta linked to just below in my signature.

First, thank you so much, LtData, for your responses. I was
able to successfully download the music converter from download.com
today, and after that the flac codec. So I have made progress.
Then I installed the player and I found that the "convert to" option
when I right-click the flac file went away and was replaced by several
player options. I wound up uninstalling all 3, then re-installed just the
converter and codec, and "convert to" came back. Any idea why?
My second issue, and I realize this has nothing to do with your product,
is that the flac files I downloaded with bit torrent converted to truncated
wav files. I assume the problem is with bit torrent or the source files,
and will seek answers there, but if you have any advice I will gladly listen.
Once again, thank you and have a good day!

Regarding the "convert to" issue, it can easily come and go due to conflicts with other programs, but most times you just need a reboot.
