I have spent all day trying to get dmc to open with right click. I worked last night. I have deleted all Illustrate programs via add/remove and also have deleted the reg key in regedit HKCU\Programs\Illustrate so many times today! I've rebooted, reinstalled, done EVERYTHING. I do get the right click option, but it won't OPEN. I've used this program for years and have NEVER had such a problem to get the right click to work again (I've done this dance before and it always works).

PLEASE, can someone be kind enough to suggest anything else I can do????????? :vmad:

Thanks Christine, but tried all this too.. even rolled back my reg to when it was working. I have the convert to option in the right click... but the program just won't open!

Any other suggestions???

TIA

Hello artzygal,

Razgo has just replied to a thread you have subscribed to entitled - Going
crazy- Right click - in the Support forum of dbpowerAMP.

start-->programs-->dbpoweramp music converter-->configuration->dmc configuration

in that window is there ticks in the "right click" options?

Hi Razgo... Yup, "right click options" is clicked. As I mentioned, the 'convert to' option appears, but the program won't open

When did this problem first occur....to the bewst of your knowledge? Today?....yesterday? .....last week? Or have you always had this problem since installing DMC?

Started 1/31. It was working fine, I was converting some MP3 Files. went to bed... got up to finish converting and it wouldn't open the DMC program via right click even though the 'convert to option was there. I did install a tag editor program, but I deleted that via add/remove and also turned back my registry restore to 1/30. Still no worky! Sigh. I guess I'll just have to do it the hard way and open DMC via my dest top every time. I've tried everything and am at my wits end!

Try starting Music Converter through:

Start >> Programs >> dbpoweramp music converter >> dbpoweramp music converter

Did you reboot at all during all this install/uninstall game?

rebooting is essential.

wait a minute......Does rebooting even do anything after you installed a program? What does rebooting do exactly?

Rebooting cleans up crap left over, any corrupstions that usually just pile up from this and that, programs which are still resident in memory after they should get off, gels configuration parameters.....
