Now to the question how can I convert MP3 to AAC so that I can load them in to my mobile?

Download the AAC encoder from Codec Central.

errr me again I downloaded the codec, now if any could tell me what to choose from the list?

Choose the AAC and mp4 DEcoder from the top, then the AAC ENcoder from the bottom of the page.

That is wave, don't click the compression button, select the AAC codec above that button.

wow.....that is soo noob.

just kidding. i was a noob too.

speaking of mp3 to acc, are a lot of bits lost in the process as compared to mp3 to ogg, or mp3 to wma, or other audio conversions?
