Lame and Blade

Someone please tell le the difference from converting a file to mp3 in Blade and Lame. What is the diffrence and which one is recommended to be used and why?

They both use slightly different methods of encoding the file.

Lame, particularly in Release 9, is the best one to go for as it has more options and produces a better quality file.
