Hello,
I have downloaded the dBpowerAMP Music Converter.
And am trying to convert .RAM files to .MP3
However
When I run the program, it does not even recognize
the .ram files, and does not allow me to open them.

Is there any additional stuff that needs to be downloaded,
like some codec (I thought it automagically comes with
the converter) ?????

Thanx ahead for any feedback... :o)
Ioanna

You need to download the RealAudio Codec from Codec Central (http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central.htm) and make sure you have either RealPlayer v8 or RealPlayer One or RealAlternative 1.11 or above installed.

Oh, dear! You cannot convert .ram files as those are meta files, not the actual audio files. Please refer to the FAQ threads: http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=4992 for meta-files in general and http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=6194 for some scoop on .ram files and http://forum.dbpoweramp.com/showthread.php?t=5362 for using dMC Auxiliary Input if not able to convert a file otherwise.
