Won't Compress .wav's

I'm trying to compress wav's and it says its needing a codec, I've download every codec know to man. I've been converting or compressing for along time and now its will not compress. Any answers or suggestions???????????? Thanks in Advance

Ok, what are you trying to compress and to what?

Please tell us the specifications of your input file and what you are selecting for the output.

Do you get an error message?

It would also be helpful if you could tell us which codec it complains about.

Does it complain with the message ACM Codec Not Installed 'IEEE Float'. Are you using the latest version of dMC r11 as this should now support these format wav files.
