this is what pops up when converting a wav from 44.1/32 bit to 8kz/16bit..

The CODEC required to decompress 'C:\Documents and (blah blah) 2079.wav' could not be opened.
ACM Codec Not Installed 'IEEE Float'

anyone?

You would need the .ACM codec that was IEEE Float, not sure where you would get it (did something like Cool Edit create the file?)

Yes - it was Cool Edit. I'll try with SAW32 - and see if it makes a difference...
