Can I run the plextor 230a through an ide raid?

I finally got me a plextors 230a. I didn't have a place to put since new mobo's only have 0 or 1 ide slots and those are full. Can I run it through an controller card and still get the c2 error rips?

it may depend on the controller card but the answer should be yes, though certainly NOT in raid mode.

it ran a cd for 45 minutes and said no c2 found o the raid card. I then ran my dvd rom/cd-rw to the raid and ran it and my dvd burner to the regular ide. it found the c2 pointers in seconds.

is it my expectation to expect it to take looong time on scratched cds? it's taking forever to rip this first one

Yes, scratched CDs take a long time, as there are multiple re-reads required to try to get a good result.
