Converting from FLAC to MP3

If you convert from one format to another, are the tags retained? I've got to great effort to rip about 7,000 .flac files and tag them appropriately. But does it all get converted to the target format? Does album art and lyrics also get converted?

Most tags, including album art, are retained when converted, yes, but I do know that, right now, lyrics are not retained.

Can lyrics be re-attached to the MP3s?

I would like to tag my MP3s with yrics. Will you (please) tell me what application does this well?

I don't know, as I have never tagged files with lyrics. I would assume that after you use dMC to convert your files, you can go through and re-attach them.
